2018 has almost come to an end, and 2019 is coming to give us 365 days of brand new potential opportunities. The reason why I’ve decided to write this post is not only to help you guys find a way to make 2019 your year but also to help myself make it happen. I believe that by putting it out there in the world, I’ll be way more motivated and inspired to achieve my goals.
A few days ago I’ve watched a YouTube video, where someone was saying that, unexpectedly, 2018 has been her year. As soon as I heard her pronounce those words I realized how powerful they are. But more importantly,
I know, it sounds like the usual thing you hear every single year. But no, it’s not like throwing away a bunch of new year’s resolutions I’m not going to stick to. It’s different. It’s a purely willful decision to do whatever I can to make 2019 great. With this, I don’t want to say that setting yearly goals is no good, at all. What I want to say is that by looking at your life in a different way you’ll be a lot more motivated to achieve them.
Over time, I’ll be sharing here on this blog, what I’m finding effective to make my 2019 a great year. So, if you’re interested in this and want to follow my journey, grow and learn more with me, make sure to subscribe to my newsletter, so that you’ll be notified whenever I publish a brand new blog post.
Quick note: I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve been super busy with university. However, I promise I’ll be way more consistent from now on and I’m gonna post at least twice a week, on Monday and Thursday.
That being said, let’s jump right into how to make 2019 your year:
Create A Vision Board
A vision board is a very powerful tool from the low of attraction theory, that should help you visualize your future and achieve your deepest and greatest desires and goals.
Personally, I’ve never tried it, but in the last few months, I’ve heard a bunch of people positively talk about it. That’s why I’ve decided that for 2019 I’m going to create mine as well. In just a few weeks I’m going to share a post on how to create it and I’ll also explain how and why it works. However, if you can’t wait to know more about vision boards, you can always check out this post that perfectly explains everything about them.
Practicing gratitude is something that I’ve tried doing quite often over this year. I’ve noticed that it really has improved my life and my perspective on it.
I’ve realized that we, as human beings, focus, in fact, so much on what we want and what we wish we had that we forget about what we already have and we’re blessed with. This also means that we often give too much attention to things that are not that important, instead of spending that time working on what really matters.
Another very important thing I believe in is that the way you look at events and opportunities can really affect the way your year goes. If you only focus on the bad things, you won’t be able to realize how the good things can really impact your days and your 2019 in a whole.
Go For It
Sometimes new opportunities scare us so much we end up missing them. What we’re often left with is a sense of regret, because we know we’ve lost something we knew was important for us.
But why does it happen? Why do we let go opportunities that we could only benefit from? We might believe it’s because we are scared of what other people’s opinion is, not only on us taking that step but also on us failing. However, what we’re scared of is our own opinion on ourselves. Once we understand that losing an opportunity is way worse than failing, we’ll also finally decide it’s time to go for it.
This is something I’ve been working on for a while now, but that I’ve fully understood only three months ago when I finally decided I wanted to take an acting class. I can’t say I’m always confident in myself, but I know I’m learning and improving.
With that being said, I’m don’t want you to think that you always have to go out of your way. However, your comfort zone can kill you if you live your whole life in it.
A Quick But Important Note To Make 2019 Your Year
